The south of the island is also home to the Green Lagoon at El Golfo and Lanzarote´s unique volcanic wine fields.
The north of Lanzarote is less developed in terms of accommodation and resorts but still boasts some great sights. Most notably the Jameos del Agua, Cactus Garden and the Mirador del Rio. Which were all dreamt up by the well known local artist Cesar Manrique.
